Recent changes to the AF1 Sight Survey Tool
A total re-tooling of the housing provides a better fit for the vials that contain the compass and inclinometer. The method for holding the vials in place is completely new and more shock resistant. The vials are now padded with EVA foam to absorb drop shocks. The back now has a solid piece of aluminum plate also designed to absorb shock and vibrations.
The side sticker has been replaced with a aluminum scale that is more wear resistant and will remain readable for many years to come.
The material the vials are made of has been improved to be stronger, clearer and more resistant to cracks and scratches. The weight of the special liquid that fills the hermetically sealed vials has been reduced for faster movement of the jeweled meters while maintaining the accuracy of the tool.
This overall redesign comes after two years of product sales and from reviewing each tool that was returned because of damage or a defect.
